Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals just lost, and got eliminated from the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs, after an amazing comeback from trailing 3 games to 1.
I was lucky enough to be there for the beginning of the comeback. I was cheering like crazy as the Caps won game 5 and 6 and bringing the tally to 3 - 3. It was ‘do or die’, and the Caps gave it all they had.
Game 7 had me on the edge of the seat (in front of the TV at home). Hell of a game! Hats off to the team for a great effort. The Caps deserved to win and advance to the next round.
I think Ted Leonsis’ face, and the face of all the players, after the goal in the overtime sudden death says it all.
Cristobal Huet played a hell of a game - that was a great stop, but the rebound was knocked in by Joffrey Lupul. Way to fight till the end.
The Caps are eliminated, and the Philadelpia Flyers continue to Round 2 against the Montreal Canadiens
Can’t wait for next season. LET’S GO CAPS!!!!

Valentina Hasan sings from the heart. She explained that she memorized the song by listening to a tape over and over again and learning the song with her heart, the way she felt it.
Given the great popularity (over 8 million views on YouTube and countless remixes, techno/house versions and remakes, to name a few) Hasan was called back for a performance with Music Idol.
By now, she had polished up some of the lyrics, but the audience as you can hear stuck to her original lyrics.

Here’s a pretty creative way to peel a hard boiled egg in record breaking time!
It turns out my great grandfather used to do this too, and then offer the eggs to others…HA!
I think it should be a PYOE exercise only (Peel You Own Egg).

For all those who are slightly rusty on the math side, or those like me who are geeky and enjoy silly graphics, here is an animated gif illustrating what the proverbial 3.14159265358979323846…

Pi or π is one of the most important mathematical constants, approximately equal to 3.14159. It represents the ratio of any circle’s circumference to its diameter in Euclidean geometry, which is the same as the ratio of a circle’s area to the square of its radius. Many formulas from mathematics, science, and engineering involve π.
