Alright - an update is overdue. I’ve been running water tests regularly and over the last few weeks the levels are beginning to normalize. Ammonia, Nitrates and Nitrites are approaching their desired non existence, but still a little bit to go before they’re gone….

Excuse me for being overly excited, but the aquarium controlling computer most geeky, tech savvy marine aquarists have been expecting has finally started shipping. I just got my notice with tracking number. I haven’t been so excited to receive a package since our wedding gifts last year…

The Bermuda 5C skimmer has been plugged in and running for a little over 24 hours and already the results are noticeable.
The cloudiness in the tank is going down and the addition of the 2 eheim recirculation pumps to the body of the skimmer seem to be making a big difference in the creation of [...]

OK!! Great Success!! (like Borat would say)
The aquarium is now full of saltwater, and the pumps are up and running.
Right now the Dart Pump, Mag Drive pump, Oceans Motions, and 2 300W heaters are operational.
Skimmer plumbing will be done tomorrow and then let the cycle commence!!!

The Live Rock ended up arriving on an earlier flight, and was delivered to my house around 12:00pm EST today!

OK- Progress at last. There was a slight delay in the delivery of the live rock, but it appears that I now have a guaranteed delivery of 350. lbs of Bali Alor live rock coming in around noon on Monday - YAY!

Busy day! Finally assembled all of the plumbing and pipes. I’m quite pleased with the end result.

Today we finished the closed loop system. The Dart pump, Oceans Motions, all the PVC piping and the ball valves have been installed.
Next comes the sump and its drain and return system.
