2008 Oscars – Good Show, Good Movies, Good Laugh!
I really enjoyed the 2008 Oscars ceremony. Hugh Jackman was a great host, the Kodak Theater was beautifully decorated and the show was very well put together. The screens and props were the best I have seen to date and the entire ceremony flowed together seamlessly. I can only imagine what it was like in person.
There was a lot of good humor, too. I laughed out loud on several occasion, from acceptance speeches to skits, but my favorite part was Ben Stiller mocking Joaquin Phoenix’s appearance on The David Letterman Show.

All jokes aside, Slumdog Millionaire went all the way and I was very excited to see them win nine oscars including Best Picture and Best Director! I knew right away, when I saw this movie in Chicago right around Thanksgiving, that it was going to make a big impact, and it sure did.
