Reef Tank – Foxfaced Rabbit Fish In!

I just added my second fish – a Foxfaced Rabbit Fish.


What a fascinating creature! When stressed or scared they change colors, losing the yellow body color. Their spines are pretty venomous…

Supposedly if you have a close encounter with its dorsal fin it ends up swelling up and hurts pretty badly (like a few wasp stings at once).

Here he is, with fins erect showing his armor. Yikes – I won’t touch you!

Lastly, here is a picture of him in the bucket while acclimating to the salinity of my tank. As you can see – there colors change completely!
