Reactable is “a collaborative electronic music[al] instrument with a tabletop tangible multi-touch interface”, in other words its an interactive [...]

The optical illusions of Akiyoshi KITAOKA, Professor, Department of Psychology, Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan are quite impressive.
Over time I will post more selections from his work.
Please note that these images may cause dizziness, or in extreme cases even make people sick. If you don’t feel great after looking at a couple, its a good [...]

This was was submitted by a group of Iranians. I have to give them credit for finding some use to all the bad stuff that comes out [...]

I came across this neat optical illusion a few weeks back and was throughly entertained and amused by how it appeared to spin counterclockwise for me and how if I’d concentrate hard or focus closely on one part I could make it reverse its direction.
Initially I was also led down the path of believing that [...]

Next time you go camping and realize you forgot to pack the plastic cutlery or if you are at work and realized you don’t have a spoon for your yogurt… fear not!
I ran into this cool design - biodegradable pen caps in the shape of a knife, fork and spoon. Brilliant isn’t it? And since [...]

WOW - What a beautiful aquarium! As I continue to research for my project I came across Reefkeeping’s January 2008 tank of the month. (Reefkeeping is ‘an online magazine for the marine aquarist’).
This 15 1/2 foot, 1600 gallon tank is incredible - congratulations to Stanley Genadek.
